ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position focused on providing critical care for adult patients. The RN will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where they will perform essential nursing duties, including direct patient care and management of critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and patients' conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform various nursing procedures, including IV management, EVD management, chest tube insertion/removal, and ventilator management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and care processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or compact state.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred.

Schedule

This is a day shift position that requires 4x12-hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM, with weekends required. There is also the option to work either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
