Night ICU Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule of 4x12 hours, working from 18:30 to 07:00.

Job Description

The position requires a passionate and skilled ICU Registered Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment managing up to 2 patients per shift, providing essential support and medical interventions while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Manage patients with complex medical needs including ventilated patients and those with central lines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and recovery.
• Transport and provide care during inter-facility transfers when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license; pending New Mexico license accepted.
• Minimum of 1.5 years experience in ICU nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in managing arterial lines, ventilators, and other advanced monitoring equipment.
• Ability to float to various units including stepdown, PCU, and ER as needed.
