Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and develop treatment plans for assigned patients in accordance with their needs and goals. This role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective therapy delivery and promotes a safe working and treatment environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and physician directions.
• Document patient care including evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge plans in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes and ensure safety standards are upheld.
• Educate patients, families, and students regarding treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
• Participate in continuous professional development and adhere to the professional code of conduct.
• Assist in maintaining a safe clinical environment, identifying risks, and adhering to safety policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid state license for physical therapy assistant in good standing.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, adhering to a 5x8.0 shift structure.
