Registered Nurse - Neurological Unit

Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. Work with our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more. Being a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitor Unit in the region, we see many acute and complex patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for our patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Utilize telemetry skills and critical thinking in patient monitoring and assessment.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team for patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development in neurological nursing.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York ONLY)
• Two (2) years of telemetry experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification required
