Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Monday to Sunday, 7 PM - 7 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients within the Acute Medical Unit, focusing on medical-surgical nursing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of recent experience in the Med Surg specialty and be adept in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient care in the Acute Med Surg Unit.
• Utilize strong clinical skills to assess and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and execute treatment plans as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve overall patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg experience.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• NIHSS Certification is preferred.

Holiday Expectations

Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve).
