Travel Ultrasound Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with call typically 1-2 times per week.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. The technician will perform a variety of sonographic examinations including abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms. Additional responsibilities include scanning small parts (thyroid, breast & scrotum) and performing ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, pelvic, and transvaginal sonograms.
• Conduct small parts scanning, including thyroid, breast, and scrotum.
• Execute ultrasound-guided biopsies and drainage procedures.
• Maintain compliance with departmental protocols and standards.
• Provide support and collaborate with the Radiologist on imaging interpretations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Ultrasound certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in ultrasound imaging
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or relevant licensure
