Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. The role requires managing a variety of emergent conditions, including neuro and stroke patients, while adhering to nursing protocols and patient care standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and administer appropriate treatments and interventions.
• Manage acute psychosis, stroke, and resuscitation patients within the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform detailed documentation and record-keeping using Meditech charting system.
• Maintain patient safety by observing protocols and procedures during high-pressure situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience.
• At least 1 year of neuro/stroke experience.
• Active RN license for Florida or compact state license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (preferred).
