Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing hands-on therapy to patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Key responsibilities include working with patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries, strokes, orthopedic issues, cardiac problems, spinal cord injuries, pulmonary conditions, and general debility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during team conferences.
• Provide family training and education on home care needs.
• Utilize appropriate medical equipment and technology in therapy sessions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and patient handling techniques.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have experience in an inpatient rehab hospital setting.
• Current licensure to practice in North Carolina.
• Knowledge of safe patient handling techniques and protocols to prevent complications.
• Experience with documentation systems such as Meditech and RehabConnect.
• Advanced skills in e-stim, ultrasound, splinting, wound care, and limb wrapping.
