Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patients’ needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. Additionally, the therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while upholding professional standards and compliance with organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to design effective treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and promptly, adhering to state and federal guidelines.
• Provide therapy in accordance with signed physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Commit to professional growth through education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule, with guaranteed hours from October through the end of January.
