Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Primarily Days with some late night (evenings) and on call/call per unit needs. Shifts may be 4x10 or 3x12 hours.

Job Description

The Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician provides assistance to the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implants. Candidates with cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience are preferred but not required. Familiarity with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems and Bloom stimulator is preferred, while experience in implementing EP Pacing monoverses and measurements is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of various electrophysiology equipment, including mapping systems like Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott Ensite/Precision, and Rhythmia.
• Communicate with MDs and in-room staff to ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Facilitate room turnover and ensure timely starts for patient care.
• Coordinate with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors to confirm availability of team members for scheduled procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
