ICU Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Unit

7 AM - 7 PM, 3 shifts per week with 3 weekend shifts required within a 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our Cardiovascular ICU team. The unit specializes in providing exceptional care for patients with critical cardiac conditions, including open-heart procedures and ECMO cannulation. As part of our commitment to high-quality patient care, we maintain a patient ratio of 2:1, ensuring each patient receives the dedicated attention they need.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in a cardiovascular setting.
• Monitor vital signs, administer telemetry, and perform frequent site assessments.
• Utilize equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, GE Bedside Monitors, and manage devices like IABP and Impella.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in procedures including pacemaker insertions, chest tube placements, and recovery from Cath/EP lab interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and certifications in ACLS/BLS.
• Telemedicine experience and proficiency with pressors, positive inotropes, and pericardial drains.
• Candidates with CVICU and charge nurse experience are preferred.
• Experience in open-heart procedures and ECMO is highly desirable.
