Registered Nurse - Moderate Sedation

Schedule

This position offers 36 or 40 hours per week, with shifts of 10 or 12 hours, including on-call for weekends and nights.

Job Description

Join a dedicated team that provides moderate sedation in a fast-paced procedural area focused on patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care. Responsibilities include administering intraoperative moderate sedation and circulating when not providing sedation. The RN will closely monitor the patient's cardiac and physical status, collaborating with the physician to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation and closely monitor patients' status
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Circulate in the procedural area when not administering sedation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License (New York State ONLY)
• Moderate Sedation Experience Required
• IR (Interventional Radiology) Experience Required
• Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred, especially in a level 1 trauma center
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
