Part-Time LPN (24 hours) - Flexible End Date (up to 26 weeks)

Job Description

This is a part-time LPN position that requires a New York LPN licensure and BLS certification (AHA or RQI only). The role involves providing both direct and indirect resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience as an LPN, and be comfortable working in a long-term care setting. The position includes holiday shifts and operates on a variable day/evening schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in accordance with their care plans and facility policies.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents by responding to call lights and alarms promptly, and ensuring cleanliness and safety in the unit.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by facilitating meal delivery and assisting with feeding where necessary.
• Address residents' rehabilitative needs through exercises and proper body alignment in line with care protocols.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status promptly to the supervising nurse.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State LPN Licensure
• BLS Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum of one year experience as an LPN in a long-term care or similar setting
