Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

This is a flexible contract position, running through January with an end date up to 26 weeks.

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform direct and indirect care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring patients' nutritional needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' activities of daily living (ADLs) needs as outlined in the plan of care.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with meal delivery and ensure residents’ nutritional preferences are honored.
• Support residents' rehabilitative needs as outlined in the plan of care.
• Report residents' rights, refusals, and changes in status promptly to supervising staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY LPN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only).
• Minimum of one year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a long-term care (LTC) or certified nursing assistant (CNA) capacity.
• High School Diploma or GED.
