Job Description

The Operating Room (OR) Nurse provides patient care through various surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment. The role includes collaborating with the surgical team, ensuring adherence to protocol and safety standards, and optimizing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various surgical procedures across specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Trauma, Neurosurgery, Spine, ENT, and Bariatrics.
• Monitor and assess patient status before, during, and after surgery.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required; CNOR preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with MEDITECH EMR preferred.
