Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical-Surgical Unit (Telemetry)

This is a 13-week contract position with day shifts scheduled for 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00).

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Unit is a 19-bed private room facility focused on the care of patients with neurological and stroke-related conditions. The unit prioritizes admission for patients requiring medical-surgical level monitoring and care. Registered Nurses (RNs) will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care, emphasizing neurological assessment, stroke recovery, and optimized functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide telemetry and oximetry monitoring for patients.
• Manage and care for patients with neurological diagnoses.
• Perform specialized nursing interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Previous charge experience is beneficial.
