Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Shifts: 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM; up to 2 weekend call shifts per 4-week scheduling period.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a level-one academic trauma center, responsible for both scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures across various specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedic, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, nurse-driven department with state-of-the-art technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of surgical procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during operations.
• Collaborate with the surgical team for effective communication and patient management.
• Participate in on-call shifts as required.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, strongly preferred.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state.
• BLS Certification required; Radiation Badge provided by the agency.
• Previous scrub experience highly preferred.
