Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Inpatient Rehab

Job Description

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide therapeutic interventions for patients within the inpatient rehabilitation setting. This role involves managing a daily caseload and delivering individualized care with a focus on improving patients' communication and swallowing abilities. The SLP will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments of patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Provide therapy interventions and monitor progress towards goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate and enhance patient care.
• Document patient progress and communicate with family members and caregivers about treatment plans.

Schedule

This position requires a Day shift schedule of 5x8 hours, working from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional weekend shifts may be required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.
• Current South Carolina state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Experience with NMES (Vital Stim) is preferred.
• MBS Radiation Badge required.
