Operating Room RN Circulator

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10hr Days 7a - 5:30p or 5x8hr Days 7a - 3:30p with call required.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room. As a key member of the surgical team, the RN works collaboratively with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other personnel to provide comprehensive patient care during surgical procedures, adhering to relevant regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely availability of supplies and equipment for surgical cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care and procedures.
• Update physician preference cards and maintain accurate records.
• Scrub and assist physicians during surgical cases as required.
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Experience in Robotics, Ortho, General, and OBGYN procedures is required.
• Must have C-section experience.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
