Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) with weekend coverage every other week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common diagnoses include sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and coronary artery disease. The nurse will also manage patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation therapies.

Responsibilities

• Administer vasoactive and antiarrhythmic drugs and perform thrombolytic therapy.
• Conduct defibrillation/cardioversion and thoracentesis procedures.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret EKGs.
• Perform non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active SC RN license.
• 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
