This is a contract position.

Schedule

Varies between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM with 8-hour shifts, 4 days a week. Requires 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks and availability for 1 summer holiday.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapist will work within the acute care department, providing support for a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological cases, orthopedics, and general debility. This position involves evaluating and treating patients based on physician orders throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with patient diagnoses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Cerner.
• Support acute care patients from admission to discharge.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in occupational therapy.
• Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license.
• NBCOT Certification.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
