Schedule

Night shifts 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) or Day shifts 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) with rotating shifts depending on needs.

Job Description

This role requires an experienced PICU Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of work experience in a pediatric intensive care setting, along with exposure to cardiovascular intensive care. The RN must be prepared to float as needed within the PICU and to the CICU (CVPICU) when necessary. The current census is high, but the RN will be notified prior to their shift if floating is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to the CICU as necessary based on daily patient census and care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Valid Registered Nurse license (single state or multi-state) required at the time of submission.
• Experience with electronic charting systems (Epic preferred).
