Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/Short Stay

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Pre-Op/Short Stay unit. This role demands a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes and ensuring a seamless preoperative experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preoperative assessments and patient education.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Monitor patients post-operatively in Phase 2.
• Assist in minor surgical procedures as required.
• Document all patient interactions and care in electronic medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have Meditech Magic experience.
• PreOp experience is required.
• Excellent IV skills are essential.
• Must be flexible to float to PreOp, Phase 2, and PAT.
• Current BLS certification is required.
