Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Schedule

Night shift (3x12 Hour: 18:45 - 07:15) with 36 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team on the cardiac floor. The nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with various cardiac conditions, including but not limited to Atrial Fibrillation, Congestive Heart Failure, and Post-Cardiac Catheterization patients. The successful candidate will possess keen assessment skills, a strong understanding of cardiac telemetry, and the ability to manage cardiac drips.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and vital signs.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips.
• Perform sheath removals and care for central lines.
• Provide care for post-operative patients including CABG, AVR, and other vascular surgeries.
• Assist in the management of chest tubes and non-invasive airway devices.
• Document nursing assessments and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Traveler experience preferred unless candidate has over 24 months of cardiac experience.
