Registered Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

Schedule

3x12 Hour Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 and Day Shift: 07:00 - 19:30 with rotating shifts.

Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). You will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during their stay. The role involves assessing patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the SICU.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions continuously.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and modify care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding care processes and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in SICU required.
• Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License required at the time of submission.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Travel experience in SICU will be considered.
