19:00 - 07:00, 3 shifts per week with 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) who will provide high-quality care to critically ill infants. The ideal candidate will be experienced in stabilizing and caring for neonates requiring advanced interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill infants, including those requiring ventilation, CPAP, and other advanced support.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, surfactant administration, and needle decompression.
• Administer medications and nutrition via TPN and lipids as per protocol.
• Participate in newborn resuscitation efforts and ongoing assessments of patient health.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia.
• Certifications in BLS and NRP are mandatory.
• Experience with IV insertion in preterm or term infants.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
