Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

Job Description

This position, independently or in consultation with a physician, administers medications, performs various types of therapeutic modalities and diagnostic testing for the cardio-pulmonary system. The Respiratory Therapist responds to arrest and emergency situations and provides CPR and life support systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care to evaluate and treat protocol evaluations.
• Delivers medications via aerosol and metered dose inhalers.
• Responds to all rapid responses, arrest, or STAT situations immediately, maintaining artificial airways, and performing respiration and cardiac compressions.
• Sets up and maintains all oxygen according to protocol.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 6 on, 8 off (Wednesday through Monday)

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of RRT experience - Required
• Previous travel work experience - Preferred
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification - Required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification - Required
• Active American Heart Association PALS certification - Required
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification - Required
• Active RRT certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) - Required
• Current Michigan (MI) state license - Required
