Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position, with the possibility of extending to 20 weeks for winter coverage.

Night shift, 3-12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and condition changes.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• Must hold an active permanent Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHHS preferred.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for submission.
