Registered Nurse - PICU Float

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with PICU experience who is willing to float to our secondary Summa location, as well as the main Akron campus. The ideal candidate will have prior charge experience and a strong background in managing ventilated patients, infection control, and wound assessment. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to various acute care units.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Float between acute care inpatient units as needed, including NICU.
• Monitor and manage care for ventilated patients.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and proper use of PPE.
• Conduct wound assessments and care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of relevant PICU nursing experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Ohio RN license or Compact License required at the time of submission.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred but not mandatory.
