Charge Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Weekend Nights

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is a 36-hour work week position.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room who is ready to take on weekend night shifts. This role involves a combination of responsibilities in both the Emergency Department and Med/Surg Stepdown. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to float between departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assume charge responsibilities and lead nursing staff during shifts.
• Float to Med/Surg Stepdown as required, managing Stepdown and Med/Surg patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient assessments and interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Room nursing experience.
• Previous Charge nurse experience is required.
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital is highly preferred.
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC from the American Heart Association are required.
• License verification with current licenses/certifications at the time of submission.
• Permanent address must be included; candidates should live 50+ miles from the facility.
